Something to ponder..

“A welcoming place to know, love and serve God” has it been our motto, if you will, over the years. But as a church it is also our goal as good stewards to provide “a welcoming place to love and serve God” for us and the people in our community. One person in remembering one of the idea of “Bring a friend to church” Sunday related this experience.

I recently had the pleasure of having overnight guests at my home. It never occurred to me to ask “Do you want to go to church with me?” My comment was only “Church starts at 10:00 and we will leave about 9:30, I’m sure you will enjoy our service, our priest is a good speaker and coffee hour follows our service”. I was eager to show my guest our sanctuary which has so much character and hopeful they would feel the warmth of our congregation. The response from my guest exceeded my hopes. She felt totally at home in our church and has made friends with members of the Trinity family. Whenever she is in town she comes to church with me and feels at home with us. Next time you have guests just bring them to Trinity, “A welcoming place to know, love and serve God”

Keep this in mind when friends or family come visiting for the weekend.
